As a way of contributing to the cancer charity, we will be providing our range of Cool Earth Coffee to offices and businesses around the UK for free. Our Cool Earth coffee range has been sourced from organic, Rainforest Alliance and Fairtrade Certified Farms with the aim of protecting endangered rainforests. By choosing this particular range of coffee, you will be helping to protect up to five rainforest trees just in one cup while raising money for charity.
What is Macmillan Coffee Morning?
Each year, Macmillan holds the world’s biggest coffee morning to help those fighting cancer. Begun in 1990, the charity has since raised over £165.5 million, with over £27.5 million raised last year alone. Encouragingly, this figure is growing year on year.
How can you hold your own Macmillan Coffee Morning?
If your business or office would like to take part in the Macmillan Coffee Morning on 29th September, all you need to do is sign-up on the website to receive your free kit within 15 days. If you would be interested in having The Office Coffee Company be a part of your coffee morning, feel free to contact us to enquire about your free coffee donation.
If you believe your work friends would be interested in taking part in this nationwide event, it may be worth sending out a text or email to your colleagues to inform them that the event is taking place. The Macmillan website also offers an e-invite to send out to all of your guests if you prefer.
Don’t forget to ask your colleagues to bring along some change to make a donation, whether small or large, towards coffee and cake. You may also decide to hold a few small competitions and raffles to raise some extra cash.
Choosing a theme
If you wish to go the extra mile, why not choose a specialised theme for your coffee morning? The Macmillan website offers a randomized ideas generator to give you a range of fun themes for your event. Or, if you are excited about trying out our Cool Earth coffee range, why not choose a rainforest theme to match our special cause? Create palm leaves and exotic animals out of paper and perhaps bring in some stuffed animals to truly set the scene!
Paying in donations
