In 2016, Facilities Manager Pennie Holdaway approached the Office Coffee Company to help solve her office coffee issues.

What was their main concern?

The main concern was poor coffee quality and service issues relating to machine reliability with her existing supplier.  Due to the logistics of having offices and warehouses spread across a large site, having colleagues unable to access refreshments and travel to other areas was becoming a problem.

How did the Office Coffee Company help?

The Office Coffee Company provided a complete survey of the offices and warehouses and identified areas where drinks facilities could be improved while installing new plumbed-in water dispensers. In reviewing the results with Penny, it was apparent that one size does not fit all; the Office Coffee Company recommended a mix of low-maintenance bean-to-cup machines in lower-demand areas and larger machines to better handle the higher footfall in the main blocks.

It was also clear the Office Coffee Company needed to go above and beyond to help provide refreshments around the site, including installing additional pipework to areas with no water supply. The next step was a coffee tasting which involved a visit to the site with one of the recommended coffee machines and two popular coffees to get feedback from colleagues.

Now, seven years on, we asked Penny how she has found working with the Office Coffee Company:
