PHEVs, or plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, are an increasingly common sight on the streets of London and throughout the UK. These vehicles run on an electric charge with a backup combustion engine for when the battery runs out, and have been proven to produce less pollution than traditional gas guzzlers.
